Meet the Administrative Team
Chloe N - Administrator (Lincoln)
I'm Chloe, I work as the Base Administrator and Data Manager at the Lincoln base. I also work as the Clerk to Governors. I've been here since October 2016, when I joined as an Admin Apprentice. I like how rewarding the job is and that we get to see the pupils grow during their time with us. I love that the school feels like a family.
Outside of work, I've got an active social life and I enjoy going out with friends and family. I enjoy going on holiday, especially to Greece, and I like day trips out.
Dave - Facilities Manager
Hello, I’m Dave. I have a variety of titles and duties within the school. Facilities Manager - I take the lead on the compliance, maintenance and development of the school's buildings and facilities through the ever-changing needs of the school and its young people.
DofE Manager - I am also the schools DofE Manager. Back in 2017, I led the school's enrolment, then development as a Duke of Edinburgh Licenced Centre and have since led 3 bronze expeditions, helped get 18 young people through their Bronze DofE Award and started 50+ Young People on their journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking my 2 children on wild adventures, being a Scout Leader, Cub Leader, Group Scout Leader and a Bushscout Regional Co-ordinator to help inspire as many young people as possible to develop a sense of adventure and understanding.
Debi - Finance Administrator (Lincoln)
I'm Debi, I've been at Pilgrim since April 2014 when I started as an Admin Assistant. Now I am the Finance Administrator and work in the Lincoln base, three days a week.
I like to see the growth in our pupils; often starting with little to no hope for the future but over their time with us expanding their horizons and enriching their lives.
When not at work, I like eating out, walking, looking after my grandkids and spending time with my family. I am also an active Jehovah's Witness, which I invest a lot of time and energy in.
Eva - Administrator (Baumber)
Hi! I grew up a long time ago in Greece where I studied Architecture and came to York for a research based Master’s Degree.
During the course I decided to focus on the problems caused by disasters such as earthquakes, war and population displacement so I joined a group of Rapid Response Search & Rescue volunteers who provided rescue and/or relief following disasters, providing executive and administrative support at Headquarters. PTSD in victims of disaster but also in responding personnel became a recurring theme and concern. I remained with that group for 20 years and during that period I worked for an LA and a College. I stopped work to raise my children and, alongside that, I became a carer to my terminally ill husband.
I love the experiences different environments provide, man-made or not, photography, art, music, wildlife and gardening.
Working for Pilgrim feels like it was meant to be as I love the work ethos and the support that encompasses both students and staff; it is enabling me to use the diversity of my skills and life experiences in a positive way for myself and others.
Gemma F - Admin Assistant (Baumber)
Hi, I'm Gemma and I have recently joined the Pilgrim School as an Administration Assistant. I currently work part-time in the office at the Baumber site. I am looking forward to the future and continuing my new role supporting staff and pupils as a member of the Pilgrim School family.
Gen R - Admin Assistant (Amber Hill)
Hi, I'm Gen and I started working at The Pilgrim School in 2020! I work in the office at the Amber Hill base as an Administrator Assistant. I feel very privileged to be a part of such a wonderful setting and watching the students grow with confidence.
Lauren - Admin Assistant (Lincoln)/SEND Administrator
Before I started my Pilgrim Journey, I was working in an RAF Nursery in the toddler and baby room and this was because before I started full-time there I was doing a college course in Childcare. I come from an Armed Forces background due to my Dad being in the RAF. This means that I have lived all over the country. I have been at The Pilgrim School since January 2021, where I started my Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3 (A - Level).
My role at The Pilgrim School is Administrator Assistant and, in 2023, I took on the role of being the SEND Administrator as well. You will also see me at the Lincoln Base's reception.
I enjoy working at the Pilgrim School and seeing the journeys of each Pupil. I look forward to continuing working to help out the Pupils and Parents/Carers as best as I can, alongside a great team!
Liz - Administrator (Amber Hill)/Exams Officer
I joined the Pilgrim School in April 2021 as a complete newbie to the world of education following over a decade of working in a local authority run Arts Centre and a shorter spell at the NHS. I was drawn to the position, and Pilgrim as a whole, as I was seeking a new challenge – and it’s fair to say I found it!
As Exams Officer I manage all mock and external examinations for pupils across our school which includes 3 JCQ registered exam centres plus some students sitting exams in their own homes. I work closely with mainstream schools to ensure there is a rigorous plan in place for supporting all pupils who are taking exams with us.
I am also the Amber Hill base Administrator dealing with referrals, attendance, transport and timetable changes and general office admin. It's an absolute pleasure being a part of the Pilgrim School Family alongside a dedicated team of staff who work tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our students.
On a personal level, I am a parent of two teenagers, two rabbits and two cats and I also work with a local Youth Theatre Company so life is pretty busy both in and out of Pilgrim for me!
Molly - SEND Administrator/PA to Headteacher (Amber Hill)
Hi, I am Molly. I am part of the SEND team and arrange the reviews for the EHCP's. I am also the PA to our Headteacher, Steve Barnes.
I have always worked in education. The start of my career began in a school in Mombasa, Kenya, a lot different to our UK system! Since then, I have worked in a UK college and, since 2021, The Pilgrim School.
I have 4 adopted siblings all with SEND. They've taught me so much and I am so thankful for having them in my life. I would not be who am I today without them. My passion for working with children and SEND ignited in Kenya. There are so many children unable to access education due to their special educational needs. I had the privilege of supporting parents, teachers and children during my 4 years there.
Now with three children of my own, I strive to teach them a big part of the Kenyan culture I found. That joy that can be found in the everyday mundane things of life, despite our trials.
Neil B - Community Liaison Officer (Baumber)
Hi, I'm Neil and after serving in the Royal Air Force for 28 years, I joined The Pilgrim School in 2016. I am the Community Liaison Manager and have a varied role that includes school trips, work experience, bid writing, organising briefings amongst many other tasks.
I am currently completing a Level 6 Apprenticeship in Careers Development and will undertake a more prominent role in careers development within the school from the middle of 2024 when I qualify.
I really enjoy being at The Pilgrim School and enjoy organising events etc that students can partake and increase their resilience. Outside of Pilgrim, I enjoy family life and am a keen console gamer.
