Spot light on……. Therapeutic Radiography

This feature was presented by 2 Practice Educators from Radiotherapy.

Radiotherapy is the treatment of cancer using ionising radiation, it can be used in the early stages of cancer or after it has started to spread.  Radiotherapy can be give in several ways and is usually administered at hospital by a Radiation Therapist or Therapeutic Radiographer.  To find out more or if you have students that are interested please provide them with the attached presentation and the below link:

Work Experience  - New opportunities for 2023/24

Insight into Aseptic Pharmacy – Lincoln – 16+ - Up to 5 days

The unit provides ready to administer chemotherapy treatments and other lifesaving injectable medicines such as intravenous nutrition, intravenous antibiotics and cutting-edge medicines for clinical trials.

 

Lincolnshire County Council Children’s Services – 16+ - Flexible according to requirements of the student / individual

Placements in Children’s Services teams across Lincolnshire – Children’s Services provide support to children, young people and families through a range of teams including Early Help, Social Work and Residential Care. At various times of the year placements are available dependent on capacity and can be flexible to meet the requirements of individual students.

*Please note: these advertised placements are not suitable for placement requests related to students on Social Work undergraduate or postgraduate courses. In these instances placements are co-ordinated directly with Higher Education Providers*

Aspiring Mental Health Careers

Do you want to make a positive difference to peoples’ mental health and wellbeing? 

Meet professionals working as part of a multidisciplinary team, using their knowledge about how people think and behave to support individuals to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Participants will hear from experts working in the fields of Counselling, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Psychology and Social Work. Offering insight, advice and guidance into their career.

Virtual Event / Wednesday 24th January 2024

Time: 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm

Criteria

  • Must be living or educated in Lincolnshire
  • Be 15 – 20 years of age on the day of the event
